One of my favorite Red Collar dogs is Loba. We found her last year with 7 puppies. We managed to find homes for 4 of her puppies and turned her other 3 into Red Collar Dogs. They all currently live in Las Croabas, happy and healthy. Recently, Loba developed a cough, so we began treating her for an upper respiratory infection. Two weeks ago she went missing and yesterday she showed back up in Las Croabas bleeding violently from her mouth. I quickly rushed to her aide and was able to stop the bleeding with a vitamin K injection. We then stabilized her for the evening. This morning at the vet office, we learned that what we thought was rat poisoning turned out to be a very bad case of heartworm. We now have begun the road to treating her.
